HOOKERS - WATCH WHERE YOU STEP

It's not Craigslist fault, first off, everybody advertises everything there, from Reno, Nevada to Rome, Italy. How in hell can you expect them to inspect and vet everything. I don't. BUT.....in my opinion, it is there.
     What do we call this? Prostitution, hookers, ladies of the night, ....what? So far as I know no one ever talked about money changing hands for anything.
      First, an American term, Hookers. It first saw the light of day during the American Civil War when the female camp followers trailed the any of Union General Joseph Hooker. Everywhere he went, the girls followed, They became known as Hookers girls, hence 'Hookers.'
      It stuck.
     Three friends of mine, I'll call them Colorado, Philly and Portland, cause that's where they live, have all tried their damndest to "hook up" with some lovely, pliable, willing, good looking agreeable females on Craigslist women-looking-for-men section.  All have run a fowl of the same problems.
      These "ladies" all say they ''FEAR' for their safety, and want them to register on a website and should they survive the background check, " sure, come on over and let's have a lot of SEX!!"
       Colorado let his little head rule his big head and put in his credit card number, and his cell phone went off, two minutes later with a bank alarm screaming ALERT...ALERT. Call us, Security Breach.
       He did, Turns out, he got hacked to the tune of a hundred bucks. Guess who?
       I quickly called the other two guys and warned them - they backed off. Then the e/mails really piled up. Portland said that one girl e/m him saying go to an adult shop that he knew of and "meet her there." ( No show). It was a well known bust out shop that had been raided and arrests had been made there before.
      " The girls voices were course and rough," he told me. " Each one of them sounded like she had been beaten up, or abused, they had a nasty sounding streak in them. They were tough babes, "  he told me. When they dragged them out into the police truck, they hardly had any clothes on at all, he said.  (I don't know WHAT he was expecting - a princess?)  desperate are we getting? Sexual contact between men and women has been going on since Adam & Eve and society has busted a gut trying to regulate it. We've passed laws trying to be the Sex Police, getting the public to conform to what OUR interpretation of sexual mores should be.

      The lives we are ruining by nailing people to a cross for nothing more than what two people, ....
two adults agree to do WITH each other in a bedroom is none of my business, your business and should be left alone. That's my view.  Admittedly sex  trafficking in children has go to the front of the line for police and prosecution attention. It is the root of all evil. That's where you start in my opinion. NO man (or woman) would dare defile a child.
      None of my three buddies got arrested got a phone call or a stop-by. So, big brother was not listening, or, considered it a no-big-deal. Did I mention that at no time, anyone mentioned MONEY?  This, as far as it went for my 3 Buds, was consensual lust, and nothing more.

THE DAY I SHOULD HAVE QUIT

I had run the gamut of the hotel sales, marketing and management ladder while in Tucson years back. About five years had been wasted in the second oldest Ramada ever built at I-10 on the Freeway in downtown Tucson.
     It was a dump. At the time, Ramada (not long for this world at the time) had dumped no money into it, choosing to favor the "flagship" twin on Thomas Avenue in Phoenix. I was left to work miracles in Tucson with the plasterboard palace.  So, I did.
     After 5 years, I got the message, left, and within Tucson, went on to much bigger things. About ten years later, I got a call from Ramada management in Phoenix wanting to meet with me at their hotel and have a TALK. So, I met over lunch with the current general manager and the current vice president.
     At that stage of my life, I was much more grisly, street smart (well, kinda) and loaded for bear. In short, they offered me my old job back at a reasonable salary. I countered with one exception.
     I wanted an employment contract. There had been 11 people in my old positions since I had left. I wanted assurances. A one year severance package in case we ' fell out of love ' with each other in a binding document run by my lawyers - and theirs.
     No dice. I walked.
     My mistake, I did NOT walk away from the business elsewhere. I did NOT change course in my career to other fields to make real money for myself. I continued in the hospitality business and made millions for convention hotels, resorts, etc, and did not have the sense to carve out a piece of the lucrative racket for me.
     And, when I did - Radisson, they refused to give it to me.
     That's why I no longer consider myself a hotelier.

I HEARD REV AL SHARPTON SKIPPED A FUNERAL TODAY...HMM

A Black cop is gunned down by a black suspect in a black neighborhood, the officer is mourned by the family, scant television coverage save Fox News, and Rev Al, decides to skip the officers funeral.
    Hmm. No solace for the grieving Black family? No succor for the Black neighborhood? No " racial injustice" speeches for the media?

    None. He sits this one out.
    His buddy, his friend, his dinner host, the Golfer in Chief to whom he owes $5 million in back taxes reportedly today sits in Chicago preparing an Executive Order on guns..
     No comment from either. We live in a racist society, more so now, than ever, in my opinion.
     Yet, our countrymen are not yet ready to give up on solving the problem, finding the cure. Early though the election is, hope arises in Dr. Ben Carson, the voice of moderation and reason, calmness, and a level head who casts oil upon the waters.
     Soon, I hope.

THE REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES

..........are beginning to act stupidly. Let it be known I once was a Republican, a William F Buckley conservative Republican. Watched his show, bought the magazine, attended the Wharton School in Philadelphia, Trump was my classmate-same class, same year.
     I was in it to win it. I was not a " frat " man, I of the lower class south Philadelphians had to attend while working my way through on a shoe-string. Howsomever, I graduated in the middle of what was left of the original class. Graduation Day May, 1968, Bill Paley from CBS invoked the go-get-em speech, and I got out there got ....something.

 digress. The Repubs are now doing what was projected - so many qualified, have begun the circus of chewing each other up with silly games and accusations. Trump is the leader, he doesn't give a damn about what they say about him, he's got 10 billion in the bank. He's bullet proof. People love him because he speaks his mind, and nobody else does. His power is his money, it always has been. Everybody else is picking the fly-poop out of the pepper, nagging reporters with the latest weird  sound bite about one of the opponent's newest tie or car. This crap from the Republicans has got to stop, otherwise, the Democratic nightmare will continue with Hillary. She can't be straight with you, even under OATH.

   Worse yet, the Socialist Sanders. I shudder to think. This guy has DECLARED himself to be a Socialist, something Obama has been secretly since he ran for office. " I just want to spread it around a bit." (to Joe the Plumber, remember?)

    You think it's bad NOW? Just wait until Bernie S gets the chair in the White House. He'll start by putting beds in the Senate caucus rooms for the homeless.

HILLARY, BALTIMORE COPS,SYRIAN REFUGEES, TRUMP .........AND obama

As Hillary's fortunes continue to sink slowly in the country ("liar" and poll numbers), it appears a Senate Sub-committee subpoena may be in the offing. Unless there is political offings going on backstage we will never know about -a-vie husband Willie skating on removal from office a'la Dick Durban and the book " Sell out" a subpoena should put a bullet in the head of her chances for a run at the big house, so I'm informed by political know - it - alls. vis
     Yeah!! Benghazi.
      The judge (whomever the hell he is) supposedly announced his/her decision to NOT remove the offensive Mayor of Baltimore from this case AND refused to allow a change of venue. Assuming nobody aforementioned are not family related (these days,...who knows, IT IS BALTIMORE, YOU KNOW) and they just shelled out 6 million bucks to the family of a drug dealer.
      The lay of the land in that town as I see it is this: it reminds me of an old, lousy western where the hero rides into town, gets involved by accident in a bar brawl, and the crooked sheriff walks in, arrests him, blames him for the trouble, and all the bad guys in the bar say, " yeah, he did it." The town is run by the Mayor and a crooked city council, they try the good guy and get ready to hang him. Even the judge in this western is in on it, he's married to one of the bad guys daughters I'll bet.
     That's about how I see Baltimore right now, throwing the rope over the tree limb, and the trial

hasn't even started yet. Oh, yeah, the jurors will probably be that mob that wrecked the town.
     Syrian refugees are bound to hit our shores. Look for to happen. If Obama says No, he'll change his mind and do it, or let them in quietly. If he says he will let 50,000 in, double that. Do NOT look for them to settle in on Army bases or those Katrina trailers, because that would make sense. Obama will put them on buses and probably ship them all to middle class neighborhoods all over America.
     Mr. Trump is losing his cool. I like him and he could do the job, but he has got to check his mouth when it comes to personal attacks on Republicans. Fiorina would make an ideal VP. Warm Up to the women, Don. They are not pets.
